What ReceiptIQ AI does

Getting receipts in

Live Receipt Capture

Point the camera and let go. The app finds the receipt, waits until it is flat and sharp, then takes the photo and crops it to the paper. Or import from your photo library. How the camera works

Email Receipts, Without Email Access

Screenshot an Amazon order, an Uber receipt or an emailed invoice and share it into ReceiptIQ AI — it's read exactly like a photographed receipt. We never connect to your Gmail or Outlook: no mailbox access, no sign-in. That's deliberate, not a missing feature.

Bank Statement Import (Beta)

Import the PDF your bank gives you and ReceiptIQ AI reads every row into its own transaction, straight from the file, so nothing is missed. No PDF? A photo of the statement works too. A review list pairs each refund with the purchase it cancels, marks anything you may already have saved, and tells you when the rows add up to the total printed on the statement. Card and account numbers are masked on your iPhone first.

Voice Input

Say it instead of typing it: “I bought coffee at Starbucks for $5.35” becomes a saved expense with the store, amount and category. Voice input follows the app's language, in all 16 of them.

Reading them right

AI Text Extraction

Reads the store, the date and every line item with its price, then checks that the items add up to the printed total.

Automatic Categorization

The AI gives every item on the receipt its own category, so one supermarket trip can split into groceries, household and pharmacy. Change any of them with a tap. See a real grocery receipt split by category

Receipts in Any Currency

A receipt in yen, euros or pounds is converted to your own currency at that day’s rate, with the printed amount kept alongside it. Japanese and Chinese receipts are read whatever language the app is set to. Read the Japan-trip story

No Double Entries

Scan the same receipt twice by mistake and ReceiptIQ AI notices — same store, same day, same total — and tells you it's already saved instead of adding it again.

A Tax Category, Automatically

Sales tax, environmental and recycling fees, and refundable deposits are filed into their own Tax category, so you can see exactly what you paid in tax over any period.

Tested on Real Receipts

Before every release the scanner is checked against more than 500 receipts from 13 countries, including the United States, Japan, the Netherlands, Taiwan and Germany, receipt by receipt. See how we test · how the release gate works

Reports and budgets

PDF Audit Reports

One tap builds an audit-ready PDF report for any period: summary, per-category totals, and every receipt with its scan. Made for tax time and expense claims.

Export Your Way

CSV or PDF for a month, a quarter, a tax year or any custom period — filtered to a single category when you need it.

Charts & Budgets

See spending by category and by day for any period, set a budget for each category, and watch the budget bar fill as the month goes on.

Recurring Bills

Mark a bill as weekly, biweekly or monthly and ReceiptIQ AI adds the next one on its due day, so rent and subscriptions never go missing from the month.

Family and privacy

Family Sharing

One subscription unlocks up to 4 devices. Pair by QR code — receipts, categories, budgets, and photos sync directly between your family's phones when they're on the same WiFi with the app open, never through a server.

Your Photo Is Not Kept

When you scan, ReceiptIQ AI sends the receipt photo and its text securely to be read. Nothing is kept on our servers; your receipts and photos are stored only on your iPhone.

Everywhere you are

Multi-Language Support

The app speaks 16 languages: English, Spanish, French (including Canadian French), German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Turkish, Korean, Japanese and Traditional Chinese. Receipts printed in Japanese or Chinese are read correctly whatever language the app is set to.

Apple Watch App

View your current expenses right on your wrist! Track spending, check budgets, and stay on top of your finances with the convenient Apple Watch companion app.

Comparing apps? Our iPhone receipt scanner guide lists what to check (line items, where the photo goes, export, price), and the budget app for iPhone guide shows how scanned receipts become category budgets.
