Short answer: ReceiptIQ turns any date range of scanned receipts into a single professional PDF in one tap: an expense summary with per-category totals, an indexed table of every receipt, and then every scanned receipt image on its own page — the actual proof an auditor or accountant asks for. The whole document is generated on your iPhone; nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Why this exists

It was built for a real subscriber whose auditor didn't want a spreadsheet — they wanted to see the receipts. Most expense apps export CSV files (we do too), but a CSV proves nothing: an audit, an insurance claim, or a picky finance department wants the image of the receipt next to the numbers. Assembling that by hand from a photo library is an afternoon of misery. Here it's one tap.

What's in the report

• Summary page — the period, receipt count, total expenses and income, and a per-category breakdown sorted by amount.
• Receipt index — every receipt in the range: date, store, category, amount, and the page number where its scan appears. Income entries are marked; receipts without images are listed too, so the index is complete.
• One scan per page — each receipt image, full size, with a store · date · amount header. This is the section auditors actually use.

Practical details

• Pick the range — a month, a quarter, or a full year — and the report covers it as one document, because an auditor wants the year in one file, not twelve.
• Generated entirely on-device with careful memory handling, so even reports with hundreds of scanned pages build reliably on an iPhone.
